As we enter our eighth year, I wanted to write this letter to provide an update on some recent changes at Palm Tree. We have taken the best of what we’ve learned about our client’s needs and have applied it to our service offerings. We have expanded our team to be focused on value creation throughout the entire M&A investment life cycle. We have also dropped “Advisors” from our name to align with our strategy and better reflect our broader offering.

Unfortunately, the extremely sophisticated M&A industry places entrepreneurs, disadvantaged by size and experience, against larger companies and private equity firms with skilled M&A professionals. While the buyers are looking for a great deal, the selling entrepreneur must try to preserve the value of their enterprise.
